Our most favourite 1960's motel!! Travel three hours out of our way to get here!!! LOVE it's unpretentiousness!! Neat&Clean and NO expensive bells and whistles!! Beautiful countryside!!
The lady working the front desk was very nice and explained everything I needed to know regarding room cleaning, wifi etc. My room is older but clean with a good TV and good selection of TV Channels. I’ve seen mixed reviews online regarding this motel, some great, some not, so wasn’t sure what to expect but I actually find it pretty good and comfortable, especially for the price per night. Haven’t slept in the bed yet but feels pretty comfortable. No issues at all and definitely recommend if this type of motel suits your needs.
The Star Motel may be a little dated, but it’s clean, comfortable, and run by genuinely kind people. You can tell the owners care about the place and their guests. Friendly service, tidy rooms, and a great price point make it absolutely worth it. I’ve seen some of the negative reviews and honestly, they seem unfair. This isn’t the Hilton, and it’s not pretending to be. You’re paying one of the lowest rates in town and for that, you get good value, a warm welcome, and a safe, pleasant stay.
